2014 World Under 16 Olympiad – call for applications

Dear all chess juniors and chess parents

According to the FIDE website calendar, this event will now be held in Hungary from 12-22 December 2014.

On this page are links to a pdf brochure (containing event regulations and related information), and the official website.

The AusJCL will consider sending a team to represent Australia if there is sufficient interest. Players born in 1998 or subsequent years will be eligible to participate. All players must be Australian citizens or permanent residents.

Applications for this event are now open. If you wish to apply, please email me at tristan.s.boyd@gmail.com by no later than Sunday 28 September. If you are potentially interested in playing you will need to apply by this deadline. No other methods of application will be accepted (you cannot apply on this website itself). In an application please provide the following information:

Full name, date of birth, postal and email addresses, phone number, FIDE rating and ACF rating. You may also choose to include further supporting information if you wish, but this is not required.

If you wish to see the selection procedure by-law or have any other questions please email me. If you know of players who may be interested please let them know!
