The 2017 Lidums Australian Young Masters is open to players under 30 years of age and will be held at the University of Adelaide from December 2-8. The fields for the Grandmaster and International Master round-robin sections have been confirmed and you can now register for the Young Masters Open and Under 1200 sections.
The Grandmaster group features Indian International Master Praggnanandhaa, who is aiming to be become the youngest Grandmaster of all time.
The Lidums Young Masters Open runs from December 4-8 as a nine-round FIDE-rated open tournament. The tournament has over $1000 in prizes and the winner qualifies for the 2018 IM round robin. The Young Masters U1200 runs from December 6-8 and is an eight-round ACF-rated open with over $500 in prizes.
